The neoliberal circus in absolute denial continues to pretend that everything is OK

failed evolution Celebrations continued for the neoliberal establishment after the result of the latest parliamentary elections in France. The media focused on their 'darling' Macron, and this new victory for the most promoted puppet of the neoliberal circus became viral in the mainstream media. The clowns gave another bad theatrical performance. It appears that the old-fashioned shows cannot impress anymore, as the French have chosen to abstain from the electoral process in record numbers. The European political elites broke another record of hypocrisy. They declared that they are happy for Le Pen's defeat, while in reality, they are happy because they found the best partner in the second economy of the eurozone, in order to establish the new feudalism across the European continent. The neoliberal circus in absolute denial, nearly ignored the millions who turned their back to another obsolete, bad-directed spectacle. The establishment pr

ISIS terrorists arrested in Iran while planning attacks on religious centers

Iranian security services have detained a group of terrorists linked to Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL) who were preparing a series of terrorist attacks in Iran specifically targeting Iranian religious centers, the Iranian Intelligence Ministry said in a statement. It also added that several explosive devices, including suicide vests, three Kalashnikov assault rifles, and one machine gun, were seized during the operation. https://www.rt.com/news/line/ It appears that the time has come for the US empire to start the next proxy war, this time against Iran. Therefore, Saudis probably took the green light from Trump, after his latest visit which resulted in a massive arms deal, in order to begin another dirty war in the sequence of failed states, from Libya to Afghanistan, created mostly by the US imperialism. http://failedevolution.blogspot.gr/2017/06/is-this-start-of-us-proxy-war-against.html

The agencies say that more than 1,300 people have died one quarter of them children and the death toll is expected to rise. CIA examined the possibility of assassination of the Iranian PM Mohammad Mosaddegh before the 1953 coup

On June 15th, the State Department released a long-awaited “retrospective” volume of declassified U.S. government documents on the 1953 coup in Iran. The volume includes fascinating details on Iranian, American and British planning and implementation of the covert operation, as well as information about U.S. contacts with key figures such as Ayatollah Abol-Ghasem Kashani, and insights into U.S. concerns about the growing influence of communist Tudeh Party. This Foreign Relations volume focuses on the use of covert operations by the Truman and Eisenhower administrations as an adjunct to their respective policies toward Iran, culminating in the overthrow of the Mosadeq government in August 1953. Moreover, the volume documents the involvement of the U.S. intelligence community in the policy formulation process and places it within the broader Cold War context. In Yemen’s secret prisons, UAE tortures and US interrogates

Hundreds of men swept up in the hunt for al-Qaida militants have disappeared into a secret network of prisons in southern Yemen where abuse is routine and torture extreme — including the “grill,” in which the victim is tied to a spit like a roast and spun in a circle of fire, an Associated Press investigation has found. Senior American defense officials acknowledged Wednesday that U.S. forces have been involved in interrogations of detainees in Yemen but denied any participation in or knowledge of human rights abuses. Interrogating detainees who have been abused could violate international law, which prohibits complicity in torture. The AP documented at least 18 clandestine lockups across southern Yemen run by the United Arab Emirates or by Yemeni forces created and trained by the Gulf nation, drawing on accounts from former detainees, families of prisoners, civil rights lawyers and Yemeni military officials. All are either hidden or off limits to Yemen’s gover

UN report reveals 3 nations producing most refugees were targets of US intervention

A United Nations report has shed light on the world’s burgeoning crisis of displaced peoples, finding that a record 65.6 million were forced to vacate their homes in 2016 alone. More than half of them were minors. The Office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), which drafted the report, put the figure into perspective, stating that increasing conflict and persecution worldwide have led to “ one person being displaced every three seconds – less than the time it takes to read this sentence. ” UN High Commissioner Filippo Grandi called the figure “ unacceptable ” and called for “ solidarity and a common purpose in preventing and resolving the crisis. ” However, what the UN report failed to mention was the role of U.S. foreign intervention, indirect or direct, in fomenting the conflicts responsible for producing most of the world’s refugees. According to the report, three of the nations producing the highest number of refugees are Syria (12

America’s “shadow war” in Somalia gets a fresh start under Trump

U.S. airstrikes in Somalia have killed over 400 people in the last eight years as part of a quiet war on “terrorism.” Parts of the country have been designated as “active war zones,” allowing for more strikes to take place with little to no oversight. by Roqayah Chamseddine Not long before Donald Trump took his presidential oath, the Obama administration was taking care of unfinished business in a part of the world that many Americans likely never think much about. In Somalia, a nation forced into a state of emergency thanks in part to an ongoing famine that is being fueled by a covert U.S. war on terrorism. Obama made some of his final foreign policy impressions by expanding the so-called war on terrorism there, even as he reached the final days of his last term in office. But it should be noted that the U.S.’ interest in Somalia has little to do with actually stopping terrorism and more to do with strengthening its grip on the country’s oil reserves.

Exploitation of children in propaganda war against Syria continues

Part 2 - From Video to Twitter Hoaxes In the propaganda war on Syria, there are convincing lies, and then there are the blindingly clear hoaxes. In the latter realm, the Bana al-Abed Twitter persona takes first prize. The child is being abused by her own family who have seemingly forced her to pretend she can speak English (she cannot). We were meant to believe that sophisticated and nuanced tweets, often calling for Western intervention, are coming from an English-illiterate seven-year-old girl or her mother — whose husband was a militant in Aleppo. In a detailed article, Barbara McKenzie looks at the campaign which uses the brand Bana for war propaganda. An excerpt includes: “ Bana, the little girl supposedly tweeting from Aleppo, but actually the front for an account run from London, was selected to be the empathetic face of the campaign for a no-fly zone in Syria. Her account was tailored to create the impression of perpetual bombing, perpetual war crimes, on t

How Greece became a guinea pig for a cashless and controlled society

As Greece moves closer to becoming a cashless society, it is clear that the country’s attitude towards cash is reckless and dangerous. The supposed convenience of switching to a cash-free system comes with a great deal of risk, including needless overreach by the state. by Michael Nevradakis Part 2 - The IMF’s Greek experiment in austerity These suggestions, which of course the IMF does not necessarily officially agree with, have already begun to be implemented to a significant extent in the IMF debt colony known officially as Greece, where the IMF has been implementing “socially fair and just” austerity policies since 2010, which have resulted, during this period, in a GDP decline of over 25 percent, unemployment levels exceeding 28 percent, repeated cuts to what are now poverty-level salaries and pensions, and a “brain drain” of over 500,000 people—largely young and university-educated—migrating out of Greece. Indeed, it could be said that Greece is being us
