US hegemony and its perils

Report by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China   Part 7 - Conclusion   While a just cause wins its champion wide support, an unjust one condemns its pursuer to be an outcast. The hegemonic, domineering, and bullying practices of using strength to intimidate the weak, taking from others by force and subterfuge, and playing zero-sum games are exerting grave harm.    The historical trends of peace, development, cooperation, and mutual benefit are unstoppable. The United States has been overriding truth with its power and trampling justice to serve self-interest. These unilateral, egoistic and regressive hegemonic practices have drawn growing, intense criticism and opposition from the international community. Countries need to respect each other and treat each other as equals. Big countries should behave in a manner befitting their status and take the lead in pursuing a new model of state-to-state relations featuring dialogue and partnership, not confrontation

Day 1479: Julian Assange still in prison and under slow-motion execution by the Anglo-American imperialist criminals

failed evolution   On 11 April 2019, the Ecuadorian government of traitor Lenin Moreno, invited the Metropolitan Police into the Ecuadorian embassy in London, and they arrested Julian Assange . Since then, Assange is kept in Belmarsh high security prison in London, without actual charges.   The real reason world's number one political prisoner is still kept in this high security prison, is because he exposed horrendous war crimes carried out by the US imperialists and their allies.   The ruthless Western imperialist regime wants to punish the No1 real journalist in the world and make him an example for any Whistleblower or real journalist who will attempt to expose its big crimes in the future.   And the Anglo-American axis has now become officially a fascist coalition , framed by the rest of its Western pets. UK's Home Secretary Priti Patel, one of the most ruthless ever, decided to extradite Julian Assange to US. No surprise of course. The only question we had in mind is

Jeffrey Sachs on China's "historic" push for multipolar world to end US domination

Democracy Now!   China is taking an increasingly assertive role in world affairs, helping to broker a restoration of relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia, offering a 12-point peace plan for Ukraine, and strengthening its relationships with European and Latin American powers.    Last week, China continued its diplomatic outreach by offering to hold talks between Israel and Palestine.    " China doesn't want the United States to be the preeminent power. It wants to live alongside the United States, " says economist Jeffrey Sachs, director of the Center for Sustainable Development at Columbia University and president of the U.N. Sustainable Development Solutions Network. He has also served as adviser to three U.N. secretaries-general and currently serves as a sustainable development solutions advocate under Secretary-General António Guterres. His latest article is headlined "The Need for a New US Foreign Policy."

Bombshell filing: 9/11 hijackers were CIA recruits

At least two 9/11 hijackers had been recruited into a joint CIA-Saudi intelligence operation that was covered up at the highest level, according to an explosive new court filing. by Kit Klarenberg Part 1 A newly-released court filing raises grave questions about the relationship between Alec Station, a CIA unit set up to track Al Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden and his associates, and two 9/11 hijackers leading up to the attacks, which was subject to a coverup at the highest levels of the FBI. Obtained by SpyTalk , the filing is a 21-page declaration by Don Canestraro, a lead investigator for the Office of Military Commissions, the legal body overseeing the cases of 9/11 defendants. It summarizes classified government discovery disclosures, and private interviews he conducted with anonymous high-ranking CIA and FBI officials. Many agents who spoke to Canestraro headed up Operation Encore, the Bureau’s aborted, long-running probe into Saudi government connections to the 9/11 attack. Despite

European antiwar protests gain strength as NATO’s Ukraine proxy war escalates

Europeans are storming the streets in unprecedented numbers to protest NATO’s proxy war in Ukraine and their own declining living standards. The Grayzone has covered demonstrations and interviewed protest leaders in several countries since the war erupted.   by Stavroula Pabst and Max Blumenthal   Part 6 - Greek general strikes set the stage for antiwar protests   The Greek rallies against NATO’s proxy war in Ukraine have capitalized on the momentum of labor actions against the cost of living crisis. On November 9th, 2022, about a week before the antiwar rally, labor unions convened a general strike, demanding wage increases, a ban on electricity and utility stoppages in homes, and for an abolition of consumption-based taxes and VAT taxes for energy sources. Why is the US government targeting Black Socialists?

The Jimmy Dore Show   Four members of the black socialist Uhuru Movement in St. Petersburg, Florida, have been indicted by the FBI. In what appears to be a clear violation of the first amendment, they're accused of “sowing discord” while doing the bidding of the Russian government in a campaign to spread propaganda and influence local elections.

Brazil’s President tells world to abandon US Dollar!

The Jimmy Dore Show   Brazil’s newly re-elected President Lula da Silva has hit the ground running, recently traveling to China where he called for the international community to abandon the US Dollar as the default currency of global trade. In truth, this process is already underway but Lula puts himself at great personal risk by promoting de-dollarization.

Biden’s words on Russia & China come back to haunt him!

The Jimmy Dore Show   Back in 1997 then-Senator Joe Biden bragged about telling off some Russian diplomats who complained about NATO expansion, implying that they might have to turn to China. And so Biden told them “Good luck” and added they might try to befriend Iran too.

Leaked documents expose US-NATO Ukraine war plans

Classified Pentagon documents containing information about US and NATO plans for a Ukrainian offensive and key details of the ongoing war have leaked. And the Biden administration is reportedly demanding they be scrubbed from the internet. Is there a hidden agenda behind the leak?  by Alexander Rubinstein Part 2 - Leaked docs: Ukrainian killed in action outnumber Russians 4:1 Perhaps the most notable piece of information contained in the leaked documents relates to military death tolls, with Ukrainian and Russian losses estimated at about a 4:1 ratio. According to one document, 71,500 Ukrainian troops have been killed in action. That figure is close to the 100,000 KIA’s cited by EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen in a November 2022 speech, before her comments were retracted. It also tracks closely with statements by one of Ukrainian President Vlodymyr Zelensky’s top advisers, Mykhailo Podolyak, who told the BBC in June of last year that Ukraine was losing between 100 and 200

US hegemony and its perils

Report by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China   Part 6 - Cultural Hegemony / Spreading False Narratives   The global expansion of American culture is an important part of its external strategy. The United States has often used cultural tools to strengthen and maintain its hegemony in the world. ◆ The United States embeds American values in its products such as movies. American values and lifestyle are a tied product to its movies and TV shows, publications, media content, and programs by the government-funded non-profit cultural institutions. It thus shapes a cultural and public opinion space in which American culture reigns and maintains cultural hegemony. In his article The Americanization of the World , John Yemma, an American scholar, exposed the real weapons in U.S. cultural expansion: the Hollywood, the image design factories on Madison Avenue and the production lines of Mattel Company and Coca-Cola. There are various vehicles the United States uses

Iran’s unrest triggers explosion of fake news

Some of the most incendiary accusations made against Iran’s government by corporate media, celebrity influencers and Western leaders in the past months are little more than fabrications. And most remain uncorrected.   by Setareh Sadeqi and Christopher Weaver   Part 11 - Euronews reports shootings of protesters across Iran, produces zero evidence   The Persian website of Euronews posted a series of random images alleging that Iran’s security forces had opened fire on protesters across the country. According to Euronews , “ news circulating on social media ” indicated that protests were held in Tehran and other cities including Isfahan, Arak, and Sanandaj. It then claimed that “ some other users also reported shootings around Azadi Square as well as in Isfahan and cities in the west of the country. ” As seen below, the report by Euronews contained revealing caveats like “ based on news published on social media ”; “ Euronews cannot verify the authenticity of the news ”; and “ it is sai

The Grayzone has covered demonstrations and interviewed protest leaders in several countries since the war erupted.   by Stavroula Pabst and Max Blumenthal   Part 5 - The view from Greece: “Americans are the killers of the people”   As the conservative Mitsotakis government bends over backwards to please Washington, average Greek citizens struggle with impossibly high living expenses and energy bills. Protesters I spoke with in Athens on February reflexively linked their government’s support for NATO’s proxy war with their own eroding living conditions. Their anger is widespread throughout a country where anti-NATO and anti-EU sentiment remains relatively high. Banners at the February 21 protest denounced US Secretary of State Blinken, while slogans like “Solidarity is the peoples’ gun!”, and “They killed Lambrakis and Beloyiannis — Americans are

CIA freaks out over Saudi-Iran peace talks

US world dominance is over, Marco Rubio admits

The Jimmy Dore Show   Florida GOP Senator Marco Rubio took note of the announcement that a number of nations around the globe, including some very powerful ones, are planning to go off the petrodollar and use other currencies as international mediums of exchange. If that happens, Rubio observes, the United States will lose virtually all its ability to threaten and otherwise terrorize “rogue” states with economic sanctions.

Classified Pentagon documents containing information about US and NATO plans for a Ukrainian offensive and key details of the ongoing war have leaked. And the Biden administration is reportedly demanding they be scrubbed from the internet. Is there a hidden agenda behind the leak?  by Alexander Rubinstein Part 1 The New York Times has reported “ a significant breach of American intelligence in the effort to aid Ukraine ” through the leak of classified documents which have been shared on social media. It correspondents cited “ senior Biden administration officials ” who apparently tipped the outlet off to the story. Documents circulating on Telegram which closely resemble those referred to by the Times are reproduced at the end of this article. The Times writes, “ Military analysts said the documents appear to have been modified in certain parts from their original format, overstating American estimates of Ukrainian war dead and understating estimates of Russian troops killed. US hegemony and its perils

Report by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China   Part 5 - Technological Hegemony / Monopoly and Suppression   The United States seeks to deter other countries' scientific, technological and economic development by wielding monopoly power, suppression measures and technology restrictions in high-tech fields. ◆ The United States monopolizes intellectual property in the name of protection. Taking advantage of the weak position of other countries, especially developing ones, on intellectual property rights and the institutional vacancy in relevant fields, the United States reaps excessive profits through monopoly. In 1994, the United States pushed forward the Agreement on Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS), forcing the Americanized process and standards in intellectual property protection in an attempt to solidify its monopoly on technology. In the 1980s, to contain the development of Japan's semiconductor industry, the United

Finland has just made the biggest mistake in its history by joining NATO criminal organization

Comment of the day   Finland has just made the biggest mistake in its history by joining world's biggest criminal organization: NATO.   By siding with the US imperialists, Finland blows up the benefits of the neutrality status that helped the country become one of the most prosperous and advanced in the European continent.    The country enters now a dark uncertain path, leading to an unstable future as it will have to spend way more money on its military. This will force Finland to cut spending on sectors that helped the country build one of the most advanced social states for the benefit of its citizens. Being member of NATO next to the Russian borders, Finland's key infrastructure will become instantly the number one target for Russian missiles.   The political system of Finland put in great danger the entire future of the country by obeying to the US imperialists, sacrificing the country for their own interests.

Some of the most incendiary accusations made against Iran’s government by corporate media, celebrity influencers and Western leaders in the past months are little more than fabrications. And most remain uncorrected.   by Setareh Sadeqi and Christopher Weaver   Part 10 - A NATO think tanker’s “rent-a-crowds”   Barbara Slavin, the former director of the “Future of Iran Initiative” at the NATO and Saudi-sponsored Atlantic Council, claimed the massive rallies held across Iran in support of the government represented “ rent-a-crowds ” filled with desperate people “ promised free lunch to chant these tired slogans ”.  The notion that the ranks of pro-government rallies are inflated due to the enticement of free, government-distributed drinks or snacks is an ongoing trope repeated in legacy media since Iran’s revolution in 1979. What is never mentioned, however, is that at large public gatherings, it is common for individuals to offer drinks and food as a way of showing hospitality and religi

There, they called for Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala’s coalition government to resign over its pro-Western and pro-NATO policies. The country’s center-right PM Petr Fiala responded by tarring the demonstrations as pro-Russian, “ extreme ,” and “ against the interests of the Czech Republic .”  Fiala’s comments did little to faze Czech protestors, who returned to the streets in late September and October, and continued to organize smaller events across the country. April 1st 1957: the day Western mainstream media officially became masters of propaganda through a seemingly innocent April Fools' Day joke

globinfo freexchange  In 1957, BBC conducted a very interesting experiment. The spaghetti-tree hoax was a three-minute hoax report broadcast on April Fools' Day 1957 by the BBC current-affairs programme Panorama , purportedly showing a family in southern Switzerland harvesting spaghetti from the family "spaghetti tree". At the time spaghetti was relatively little known in the UK, so that many Britons were unaware that it is made from wheat flour and water; a number of viewers afterwards contacted the BBC for advice on growing their own spaghetti trees. Decades later, CNN called this broadcast " the biggest hoax that any reputable news establishment ever pulled ". This "innocent" farce showed dramatically the unimaginable power of TV and the mainstream media to shape massively the minds of millions. Earlier, Freud's young nephew, Edward Bernays, had set the foundations of modern propaganda. It is worth to add that the te
