A CIA document exposed by WikiLeaks could become the blueprint for Kamala Harris to start a war with Iran

In a recent article in his blog, Glenn Greenwald revealed some astonishing details from a 2010 WikiLeaks exposé related with some CIA PsyOps that could make people in the West approve the US invasion in Afghanistan and the presence of the US forces in the region.

As Greenwald describes:

... it was one WikiLeaks document that particularly caught my attention at first: a classified 2010 CIA “Red Cell Memorandum,” named after the highly secretive unit created by Bush/Cheney CIA Director George Tenet in the wake of the 9/11 attack.

What made this document so fascinating, so revealing, is the CIA’s discussion of how to manipulate public opinion to ensure it remains at least tolerant if not supportive of Endless War and, specifically, the vital role President Obama played for the CIA in packaging and selling U.S. wars around the world. In this classified analysis, one learns a great deal about how the “military industrial complex,” also known as the “Blob” or “Deep State,” reasons; how the Agency exploits humanitarian impulses to ensure continuation of its wars; and what the real function is of the U.S. President when it comes to foreign policy.

What prompted the memo was the CIA’s growing fears that the population of Western Europe was rapidly turning against the War on Terror generally and the war in Afghanistan specifically — as evidenced by the fall of the Dutch Government driven in large part by the electorate’s anger over involvement in Afghanistan. The CIA was desperate to figure out how to stem the tide of anti-war sentiment growing throughout that region, particularly to shield France and Germany from it, by manipulating public opinion.

The Agency concluded: its best and only asset for doing that was President Obama and his popularity in Western European cities.

[...]

Yet the CIA, as it so often does, knew the hidden truth: that Obama’s most important value was in prettifying, marketing and prolonging wars, not ending them. They saw him for what U.S. Presidents really are: instruments to create a brand and image about the U.S. role in the world that can be effectively peddled to both the domestic population in the U.S. and then on the global stage, and specifically to pretend that endless barbaric U.S. wars are really humanitarian projects benevolently designed to help people — the pretext used to justify every war by every country in history.

This is probably the best evidence for the fact that Obama was just a new trick set up by the liberal elites and the US deep state in order to keep business as usual.

Trump came as a result of eight years of nothing-has-changed totally disappointing Obama term. Yet, as we already described, despite the fact that Trump brought some serious trouble to the liberal capitalists, ironically, he came right on time to rescue them. He helped them escape from the dead end, after eight years of an utterly disappointing Obama administration. Suddenly, the Obama fraud was almost forgotten and all the progressives had to align behind the liberal fraudsters in order to defeat the "creepy orange clown".

But the "creepy orange clown" did even more than just helping the liberal elites restore power through their DNC proxies. He also paved the way for them and the US deep state towards another imperialist war. First, by killing the Iran nuclear deal for literally no reason. Then, by ordering the assassination of the top Iranian military official, Qasem Soleimani. An utterly preposterous and unprecedented action.

Actually, it looks like a well-designed plan. Now, the liberal establishment is ready to take the game to a whole new level through identity politics on steroids. That is, by using a diverse cabinet in which women of all colors will become the frontline firepower for a new round of public manipulation. Kamala Harris will play the central role as the new VP.

There is a particular piece in CIA's Red Cell Memorandum, which looks like a strategy designed to fit perfectly for women in charge. As we read:

Afghan women could serve as ideal messengers in humanizing the ISAF [International Security Assistance Force] role in combating the Taliban because of women’s ability to speak personally and credibly about their experiences under the Taliban, their aspirations for the future, and their fears of a Taliban victory. Outreach initiatives that create media opportunities for Afghan women to share their stories with French, German, and other European women could help to overcome pervasive skepticism among women in Western Europe toward the ISAF mission.

We can already imagine the "script". Kamala Harris would be the ideal puppet to describe how women suffer under the Iranian regime. The picture of a woman of color in power, speaking about the suffering of other women under an authoritarian regime, will have a great impact on Western audiences. And it will make other women in Western countries accept more easily a US invasion against Iran.

Of course, the corporate media will exaggeratedly amplify the message through another round of massive anti-Iranian propaganda, to make Harris' dirty mission easier. At the same time, they will bury again the much worse reality that millions of women experience under barbaric regimes (like the Saudi regime), simply because these regimes are allies of the US and other Western neocolonial powers.

It would be worth to mention that the first signs show that Biden is ready to bring back the most sinister figures of the Obama warhawk "collection". Also, it appears that Harris has excellent ties with Netanyahu's Apartheid regime and the Israeli lobby. It's more than certain that the latest assassination of the Iranian top nuclear scientist, Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, was aiming to bring the US one step closer to war by provoking the Iranians.

So, here is a scenario towards that direction in short:

Step 1: Biden sets up the warhawks team
Step 2: Biden steps down due to dementia or other health problems
Step 3: Harris takes over to make the war with Iran more "acceptable"

As we already mentioned, the establishment players who pull the strings know very well Biden's profound weaknesses. They want to make sure that he will be replaced by their best puppet in case he will become unable to fulfill duties. It seems that the puppet is called Kamala Harris. And in fact, it seems that the establishment players are eager to replace Biden with their top female Obama, in the end.

But even if this scenario remain on paper, Harris will be heavily promoted by the media, in order to upgrade her role on critical presidential decisions and make Biden's endless wars more acceptable.

Vijay Prashad on BRICS & Why Global South Cooperation Is Key to Dismantling Unjust World Order

Democracy Now!   As a two-day BRICS summit gets underway in South Africa, we speak with author and analyst Vijay Prashad about whether the bloc — which comprises Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa — can meaningfully challenge U.S. and Western domination in world affairs by building an alternative forum for countries of the Global South. BRICS countries represent 40% of the world's population and a quarter of the world's economy, and the group is now considering a possible expansion to more than 20 other countries. " BRICS is an instrument to push forward their political views, which they feel are not taken seriously, " says Prashad, director of the Tricontinental: Institute for Social Research. Prashad explains the history of BRICS and its New Development Bank and responds to criticism that BRICS falsely portrays itself as an anti-imperialist project. The BRICS countries " are not a socialist bloc, " says Prashad, but they " don't want to

Julian Assange and the end of American Democracy

The Real News Network   The US government has hounded Julian Assange since WikiLeaks first revealed the extent of US war crimes in 2010. In the process of persecuting Assange, the federal government has used every tool at its disposal and even pushed beyond the boundaries that supposedly restrict state power in defense of civil liberties. One of the most insidious tactics is the use of the Espionage Act, which had not been used for against whistleblowers and journalists for almost a century before Assange's case.    Prison is always a political tool, and in the case of whistleblowers like Julian Assange, the use of incarceration to suppress, discourage, and silence dissent is self-evident. Since being imprisoned, Assange has married and even started a family—but has been kept apart from his wife and children.   Lawyer and human rights defender Stella Assange, spouse of Julian Assange, joins Chris Hedges for a look at the vast and vicious campaign by the US to silence Julian Assange

The 'slow motion execution' of Julian Assange

The Real News Network   As Julian Assange continues to fight extradition to the United States to face prosecution under the Espionage Act, a growing chorus of voices is rising to demand an end to his persecution. Hounded by US law enforcement and its allies for more than a decade, Assange has been stripped of all personal and civil liberties for the crime of exposing the extent of US atrocities during the War on Terror.    In the intervening years, it's become nakedly apparent that the intent of the US government is not only to silence Assange in particular, but to send a message to whistleblowers and journalists everywhere on the consequences of speaking truth to power.    Former British ambassador to Uzbekistan, Craig Murray, who was fired for exposing the CIA's use of torture in the country, joins The Chris Hedges Report to discuss what Julian Assange's fight means for all of us.
