WikiLeaks evidence that the imperialist machine was monitoring anti-imperialist Jeremy Corbyn at least since the US invasion of Iraq
The
WIKILEAKS
Public Library of US Diplomacy (PlusD)
holds
the world's largest searchable collection of United States
confidential, or formerly confidential, diplomatic communications. As
of April 8, 2013 it holds 2 million records comprising approximately
1 billion words. The collection covers US involvements in, and
diplomatic or intelligence reporting on, every country on earth. It
is the single most significant body of geopolitical material ever
published. The PlusD collection, built and curated by WikiLeaks, is
updated from a variety of sources, including leaks, documents
released under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and documents
released by the US State Department systematic declassification
review.
A cable from December, 2002, proves that the US officials were closely monitoring anti-war activities. The particular cable was describing a protest "against a possible U.S.-led operation against Iraq" in Istanbul, Turkey, and there is a special reference to current UK Labour party leader, Jeremy Corbyn, who was among the anti-war speakers.
Key parts (most important highlighted):
Around 5,000 people in Istanbul protested against a possible U.S.-led operation against Iraq on Sunday. The anti-war demonstration was organized with the participation of more than 170 NGOs, including the country's three big unions: Turk-Is (the Confederation of Turkish Labor Unions), the Confederation of Revolutionary Labor Unions (DISK) and the Confederation of Public Sector Labor Unions (KESK). Other participating organizations included the Chamber of Engineers and Architects, the Union of Turkish Doctors, Greenpeace, some political parties and several Islamist groups.
The protest started around 11.00 a.m. in Abide-I Hurriyet Square in Istanbul's downtown Sisli District under tight police control. During the meeting, the union leaders made speeches and the crowd chanted anti-US and anti-war slogans including "No to Imperialist War," and "We Will Not Be American Soldiers." The speakers included a British Member of Parliament, Jeremy Corbyn from the Labor Party. The crowd dispersed after a few hours and there was no violence during the demonstration.
Comment: Police contacts confirmed to us that 5,000
people participated in the demonstration, but noted that
they had anticipated a crowd twice that size.
Another paper from The Global Intelligence Files archive, concerns an email sent by BBC (about eight years later) to one of the top US deep state think tanks, Stratfor. Under the title BBC Monitoring Alert - IRAN, the email is actually a report (in the English language) of the Iranian official government news agency, IRNA. In the short description before the report we read that "British MP says US sanctions will not improve relations with Iran". And from the report, the British MP is Jeremy Corbyn.
Perhaps the most impressive is not the fact that BBC was informing Stratfor, but the fact that Jeremy Corbyn - as it can be depicted also on the title of the email - was troubling the imperialists with his stance on various matters, even as a simple MP and long before his rise as the leader of the Labour party.
Now that he is quite dangerously close to become the next British PM, the imperialist machine attacks him full force, in plain sight. Only a small sample, is a September 2019 article on Foreign Policy. The title leaves zero doubt: Jeremy Corbyn Is a National Security Threat. The rest of the article is essentially the typical US deep state propaganda that seeks to demonize anyone who dares to work for peace and dialogue as a "Russian agent", or, "threat to national security".
The more the ruthless imperialists attack Jeremy Corbyn, the greater our certainty that he should be the next British PM becomes.
