Πόσο κοντά είμαστε σε πυρηνικό πόλεμο;

Μέρος 2ο - Η Προειδοποίηση της Κίνας

Στις αρχές Αυγούστου η κινεζική ηγεσία αποφάσισε ότι το πράγμα παρατράβηξε. Η πολιτική κατευνασμού της αμερικανικής επιθετικότητας και πιέσεων στη Βόρειο Κορέα, που εφήρμοσε το Πεκίνο, όπως επίσης η Μόσχα και οι Ευρωπαίοι, δεν φαινόταν να αποτρέπει, αντίθετα, έκανε πιο πιθανό το ενδεχόμενο ενός πολέμου στην βορειοανατολική Ασία. Η Κίνα, όπως και όλα τα μέλη του ΣΑ του ΟΗΕ, είχαν ήδη επιβάλλει στη Βόρειο Κορέα σκληρές κυρώσεις, παρόλο που όλος ο κόσμος γνωρίζει από τα προηγούμενα παραδείγματα (π.χ. Γιουγκοσλαβία ή Ιράκ) ότι αυτές οι κυρώσεις πλήττουν πάντα τους λαούς και όχι τα καθεστώτα, δεν επιτυγχάνουν το αποτέλεσμα που λένε ότι επιδιώκουν και αποτελούν συνήθως τον προθάλαμο στρατιωτικής επίθεσης κατά του «τιμωρούμενου» κράτους. Αλλά, αντί η πολιτική τους να οδηγήσει σε κάποιο μαλάκωμα της αμερικανικής στάσης, οδήγησε σε σκλήρυνση, ωθώντας ταυτόχρονα τη Βόρειο Κορέα στη μόνη εναπομένουσα στρατηγική, την απειλή του Σαμψών «Αποθανέτω η Ψυχή μου μετά των Αλλοφύλων». ‘Αλλωστε, ακόμα κι αν η ηγεσία της Βόρειας Κορέας είχε αμφιβολίες, γνωρίζει πολύ καλά τι έπαθαν ο Σαντάμ Χουσείν, ο Καντάφι και ο ‘Ασαντ, αφού «συμμορφώθηκαν» με τις απαιτήσεις ελέγχου των εξοπλισμών τους.

Ο Τραμπ και ο Υπουργός ‘Αμυνας Ματίς (που μάλιστα εμφανίζεται ως «μετριοπαθής» και «φωνή της λογικής» στην αμερικανική κυβέρνηση από τον τύπο!), διετύπωσαν στις αρχές Αυγούστου, πρωτοφανείς απειλές «τερματισμού» του καθεστώτος της Βόρειας Κορέας αλλά και «καταστροφής» του πληθυσμού της. Στον αμερικανικό τύπο διέρρευσαν πληροφορίες ότι βομβαρδιστικά Β1 είναι έτοιμα να απογειωθούν από το Γκουάμ για να πλήξουν την χώρα. Στις 8 Αυγούστου, δύο Β1 πέταξαν κοντά στην Κορέα.

Το Πεκίνο δεν έχει καμία διάθεση να πάει σε σύγκρουση με τις ΗΠΑ. Λέγεται ότι η παρακαταθήκη του Ντενγκ στους συμπατριώτες του είναι να έχουν ειρήνη τουλάχιστο μισό αιώνα με την υπερδύναμη. Στο Πεκίνο άλλωστε (όπως και στη Μόσχα) υπάρχει αναπόφευκτα και ένα ισχυρό λόμπυ υπέρ της διατήρησης, πάση θυσία, καλών σχέσεων με τη Δύση, με ισχυρό κοινωνικό έρεισμα αφού εκφράζει τη νεοσχηματιζόμενη αστική τάξη της Κϊνας. Πίσω από τον ασαφή όρο «παγκοσμιοποίηση», υπάρχει μια ολοκληρωτική «Αυτοκρατορία του Χρήματος» και αυτή η Αυτοκρατορία είναι ένα παγκόσμιο κόμμα που βρίσκεται σε όλα τα κέντρα του κόσμου. ‘Οσο για τη «διαθήκη» του Ντενγκ, το πρόβλημα είναι ότι η ειρήνη θέλει δύο, ενώ για τον πόλεμο φτάνει ένας! Αν αυτή ήταν η γνώμη του Ντενγκ, δεν σημαίνει αναγκαστικά ότι και η Ουάσιγκτων θα συμφωνήσει, θα αφήσει δηλαδή την Κίνα να αναπτυχθεί μέχρι να γίνει ισοδύναμη με την Αμερική!

Στις 10 Αυγούστου το Πεκίνο αποφάσισε να αντιδράσει. Η εφημερίδα Global Times, ιδιοκτησία της «Λαϊκής Ημερησίας», οργάνου του κυβερνώντος Κομμουνιστικού Κόμματος Κίνας, δημοσίευσε ένα κύριο άρθρο ασυνήθιστης σαφήνειας. Προειδοποιούσε, μεταξύ άλλων, τις ΗΠΑ να μην επιτεθούν στη Βόρειο Κορέα «απρόκλητες» και να μη δοκιμάσουν να μεταβάλουν με στρατιωτικά μέσα το καθεστώς της και την ισορροπία δυνάμεων στην κορεατική χερσόνησο γιατί, αν δοκιμάσουν να το κάνουν, το Πεκίνο «θα τις εμποδίσει». Ταυτόχρονα, ζητούσε από τη Βόρειο Κορέα να μην εκτοξεύσει πυραύλους που απειλούν το “αμερικανικό έδαφος” γιατί, αν το κάνει, θα την αφήσει ανυπεράσπιστη.

Η Κίνα μόνο ένα μέσο έχει για να “εμποδίσει” τους Αμερικανούς να επιτεθούν στη Βόρειο Κορέα και να μεταβάλλουν την κατάσταση πραγμάτων στην κορεατική χερσόνησο. Το μέσο αυτό είναι οι ένοπλες δυνάμεις της.

Αλλά μια στρατιωτική εμπλοκή Κινέζων και Αμερικανών στην Κορέα συνεπάγεται αυξημένο κίνδυνο παγκόσμιας πυρηνικής σύρραξης.

‘Ηδη, στις αρχές της δεκαετίας του 2000, το αμερικανικό Πεντάγωνο (κατά τη «μεσοβασιλεία» μεταξύ Κλίντον και υιού Μπους, πιθανώς για να μην πάρει κανείς την ευθύνη) έκανε ασκήσεις επί χάρτου με σενάριο έναν κυβερνοπόλεμο με την Κίνα στον Ειρηνικό, το 2017, με περιορισμένη χρήση πυρηνικών όπλων.

Οι Κινέζοι αντικατέστησαν το προσωπικό που χειρίζεται τα κορεατικά θέματα και μετά το δημοσίευμα της Global Times, ο Πρόεδρος Σι τηλεφώνησε στον Τραμπ και ζήτησε αποφυγή εμπρηστικών δηλώσεων και ενεργειών, ο Κινέζος Υπουργός Eξωτερικών τηλεφώνησε στον Ρώσο ομόλογό του και του είπε, σύμφωνα με την ανακοίνωση, ότι δεν μπορεί η Κίνα και η Ρωσία να αφήνουν κάποιον να κάνει ότι θέλει στην «αυλή» τους.

Μια συμμαχία Ρωσίας – Κίνας είναι ισχυρός παράγων ανάσχεσης της Υπερδύναμης, το ζήτημα είναι όμως ότι η πρακτική λειτουργία «αντιηγεμονικών» συμμαχιών προσκρούει ενίοτε στην επιθυμία κάθε «πόλου» να μην έρθει σε αντιπαράθεση με την υπερδύναμη, παρά μόνο όταν απειλούνται τα δικά του ζωτικά συμφέροντα. Το Πεκίνο κράτησε για παράδειγμα πολύ χαμηλό προφίλ στις μεσανατολικές συρράξεις, που όμως ήταν και η «εισαγωγή» στην κορεατική κρίση που τώρα αντιμετωπίζει. Οι εναλλακτικοί πόλοι του διεθνούς συστήματος, αθροιζόμενοι, έχουν πολύ μεγαλύτερη ισχύ από την Υπερδύναμη, το πλεονέκτημα όμως της τελευταίας είναι ότι, σε αντίθεση με τους αντιπάλους της, έχει μια πλήρη παγκόσμια, όχι μερική και περιφερειακή, στρατηγική.

Η προειδοποίηση της Global Times θύμισε σε ορισμένους αναλυτές, τηρουμένων των αναλογιών, την ανάλογη που απηύθυνε ο Τσου Εν Λάι στον Πρόεδρο Τρούμαν τον Αύγουστο του 1950, πάλι για την Κορέα. Ο Τρούμαν τη χαρακτήρισε «μπλόφα» και οι Αμερικανοί έτριβαν τα μάτια τους όταν τον Οκτώβριο του 1950 ο κινεζικός στρατός επενέβαινε στην κορεατική χερσόνησο και άρχιζε ένας από τους αγριότερους πολέμους της ιστορίας, με την αεροπορία των ΗΠΑ να ισοπεδώνει όλες ανεξαιρέτως τις κορεατικές πόλεις. «’Εκανα εμετό με όσα είδα στην Κορέα», ομολόγησε ο στρατηγός Μακ ‘Αρθουρ ενώπιον του Κονγκρέσου. Πιστεύεται ότι ο ίδιος ζήτησε χρήση ατομικών όπλων, αλλά οι πολιτικές συνθήκες την απέτρεψαν.

Greta Thunberg, is the 16-year-old Swedish climate activist who has inspired millions across the globe. Last year she launched a school strike for the climate, skipping school every Friday to stand in front of the Swedish parliament, demanding action to prevent catastrophic climate change.
Her protest spread, quickly going global. Hundreds of thousands of schoolchildren around the globe have participated in their own local school strikes for the climate.

'How dare you!': Greta Thunberg rages at 'fairytales of eternal economic growth' at UN climate summit

In a speech to the United Nations Climate Action Summit Monday, Swedish youth climate activist Greta Thunberg lit into world leaders for their "empty words" around solving the climate crisis and said decades of inaction have left her generation without a future.

EVERYONE is on the list: Snowden says no ‘innocents’ in mass surveillance world

Asked if buying his memoir would get one on a spy list, NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden chillingly replied that everyone in the world is on the “list” and there are no innocents in the age of mass surveillance.

Responding to a reader who joked that buying Snowden’s book ‘Permanent Record’ might have put him on a list of people to be spied on, the exiled former intelligence contractor said in all seriousness that everyone is being spied on regardless.

“Systems of mass surveillance strive to record all people, in all places, at all times. The question is no longer ‘Am I on the list?’ it is ‘What's my rank on the list?’,” Snowden tweeted on Wednesday.
The former NSA and CIA contractor became a household name in 2013, when he revealed the extent of surveillance by the ‘Five Eyes’ network of US and its allies. He fled to Hong Kong ahead of being charged with espionage and eventually found asylum in Russia.

Washington State has long been a corporate tax haven, having the most regressive tax system in the entire nation.
