At least 30
civilians have been killed in a NATO air strike in Afghanistan's
volatile northern province of Kunduz.
Women and
children are among those killed in the operation - which was called
in to protect US and Afghan Special Forces battling the Taliban.
At least two
US soldiers have died and four others injured in the fighting.
