While in the case of Venezuela, the mouthpieces of the Western mainstream media are "shouting" constantly against Nicolas Maduro, they keep a completely neutral position (in the best case), concerning the constitutional coup against Dilma Rousseff in Brazil.
Concerning Venezuela, the Western media mouthpieces are doing their job, which is propaganda as usual. The recipe is known. You present the half truth, with a big overdose of exaggeration. The establishment parrots are demonizing Socialism, but they won't ever tell you about the money that the US are spending, feeding the Right-Wing groups and opposition to proceed in provocative operations, in order to create instability. They won't tell you about the financial war conducted through the oil prices, manipulated by the Saudis, the close US ally.
But the case of Brazil is even more interesting. The dirty war against Dilma Rousseff here is so obvious, that the Western media pundits find it difficult to build solid narratives for the public.
In many cases, they try to maintain a neutrality on the issue, or even highlight the "failure" of the economic policies of Rousseff administration. Again, they won't tell you a single word about Rousseff's efforts to relief millions of Brazilians from poverty, or even the completely corrupted neoliberal opposition that proceeded to the impeachment against Rousseff.
The US government has been also remarkably silent about this coup. Naturally, because the big US corporations are ready to invade again in Brazil. In other cases, the US officials would be “yelling” about the "abolition of democracy", but not in this case. Simply because they don't like Leftist governments that try to implement social policies. That doesn't help the invasion of the US corporations.
The time has come for the Leftist "threat" in Latin America to be overthrown. The neoliberal establishment will do whatever it takes. The corporate monsters are ready for another round of economic grab in Latin America with the start of the next US presidency.
