According
to data released today by the Eurostat, more than one in four young
adults in Greece between 20-24 years of age have no occupation, nor
are they receiving any form of education or training.
This
percentage (26.1) places Greece at the second higher position between
EU countries after Italy (31,1%) while Croatia and Romania are third
at 24,1%, followed by Bulgaria (24%), Spain and Cyprus(22,2%)
Opposite
to those placements are Holland at 7,2%, Luxembourg at 8,8% and
Denmark, Sweden and Germany at 9,3%.
Overall
in Europe, almost 5ml young adults are facing the situation known as
NEET (Neither in employment or in Education and Training).
