Syrian Kurdish leader says deal reached with Damascus and Moscow

Kobani Military Council leader Ismat Sheikh Hassan on Sunday evening told Kurdistan 24 that his group had reached an agreement with the Russian and Syrian governments after being convinced that Syria's Kurds had been abandoned by US President Donald Trump. “ Before everything, it seems this is the fate of the Kurdish people [to be abandoned]. We did anything that we could, we called upon the international community, including the Arab League as you saw on the media. Yet, the meetings with the U.N. Security Council and the Arab League did not result in a solution, ” he said. “ We ourselves should heal our pain, ” Hassan continued. “ When we urged that all Kurdish [circles] should rely on our unity, no one listened. Now, we have reached an agreement with the Syrian government and the Russians. They are supposed to enter the area this evening. ” The Kurdish leader concluded with a call to arms, urging, “ We should rely on ourselves. The youth must take up arms; do not leave your

The US is now betraying the Kurds for the eighth time

The White House announced Sunday night that the United States is giving Turkey a green light to invade northern Syria, with the U.S. troops there now apparently pulling back to another area of the country. This is the scenario that Syrian Kurds have long feared. It will almost inevitably lead to a Turkish attack on Kurdish militias in Syria — fighters who loyally helped the U.S. destroy the Islamic State, but whom Turkey bogusly claims to be terrorists. [...] The U.S. has now betrayed the Kurds a minimum of eight times over the past 100 years. The reasons for this are straightforward. The Kurds are an ethnic group of about 40 million people centered at the intersection of Turkey, Syria, Iran, and Iraq. Many naturally want their own state. The four countries in which they live naturally do not want that to happen. On the one hand, the Kurds are a perfect tool for U.S. foreign policy. We can arm the Kurds in whichever of these countries is currently our enemy, whether to mak

Trump threatens to transfer the endo-capitalist war into a civil war level

globinfo freexchange Donald Trump finally counter-attacked against corporate Democrats and their persistent desire to impeach him, through the ultimate threat: a civil war. In a recent tweet he wrote: " ... If the Democrats are successful in removing the President from office (which they will never be), it will cause a Civil War like fracture in this Nation from which our Country will never heal. ” ....If the Democrats are successful in removing the President from office (which they will never be), it will cause a Civil War like fracture in this Nation from which our Country will never heal.” Pastor Robert Jeffress, @FoxNews — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) September 30, 2019 Speaking to the Real News Network , Jeet Heer of The Nation pointed out: The civil-war tweet is almost like a threat. It’s like, 'Well, this is a nice little Republic you got here, and it’d be a shame if anything happened to it.' But the thing is that this civil-w

CIA spied on Julian Assange in Ecuadorian embassy

The Grayzone The CIA has been caught spying on Wikileaks founder Julian Assange. Undercover Global SL, a Spanish security firm, recorded Assange during his stay in Ecuador's London embassy, where he lived under asylum, and then handed over its footage to the CIA. " That firm was contracted by Ecuador to protect the embassy, to protect [Assange], to protect us from [his] persecutors, " says former Ecuadorian diplomat  Fidel Narváez. " So I find it shocking. "

The DNC and corporate media are trying to hijack the entire election process

A message from Tulsi Gabbard The 2016 Democratic Primary election was rigged by the DNC and their partners in the corporate media against Bernie Sanders. In this 2020 election, the DNC and corporate media are rigging the election again, but this time against the American people in the early voting states of Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina, and Nevada. They are attempting to replace the roles of voters in the early states, using polling and other arbitrary methods which are not transparent or democratic, and holding so-called debates which are not debates at all but rather commercialized reality television meant to entertain, not inform or enlighten. In short, the DNC and corporate media are trying to hijack the entire election process. https://www.tulsi2020.com/election-process

‘The drone revolution’: Ecuadorians revolt against repressive US-backed President Lenin Moreno’s neoliberal policies

Ecuador’s workers are rising up against the IMF-mandated neoliberal economic reforms of President Lenin Moreno, a close ally of Washington who calls them “zánganos,” or drone bees. by Denis Rogatyuk Part 2 - Removing oil subsidies, cutting public employees’ salaries, gutting worker protections The decision to cut the government’s decades-old fuel subsidies was just one element in a package of neoliberal economic reforms presented by the Moreno government on October 1. The program was part of a bid to satisfy the demands of the International Monetary Fund (IMF). This October, the reform package set off an explosion of mass protests across the nation. Moreno claimed the drastic new economic measures were necessary to reduce “wasteful” public spending and balance the government’s budget. The most controversial measure of all has been the elimination of the petrol subsidies that had been in place since the 1970s. This removal led to a staggering 123 percent rise in the

How the CIA, Mossad and “the Epstein Network” are exploiting mass shootings to create an Orwellian nightmare

Following another catastrophic mass shooting or crisis event, Orwellian “solutions” are set to be foisted on a frightened American public by the very network connected, not only to Jeffrey Epstein, but to a litany of crimes and a frightening history of plans to crush internal dissent in the United States. by Whitney Webb Part 10 - Peter Thiel’s Seeing Stone As was mentioned earlier in this report, Palantir — the company co-founded by Peter Thiel — is set to profit handsomely from the Trump administration’s plans to use its “pre-crime” technology, which is already used by police departments throughout the country and also used to track Americans based on the company’s integrative data-mining approach. Palantir, named for the “seeing stones” in the Lord of the Rings novels, also markets software to foreign (and domestic) intelligence agencies that predicts the likelihood that an individual will commit an act of terrorism or violence. Aside from its “pre-crime” products, Pala

How Venezuela defeated Washington’s coup attempt at the United Nations

An inside look at how Venezuelan diplomats stymied a US attempt to revoke their credentials at the UN and shatter their nation’s sovereignty. by Anya Parampil Part 3 - ‘In this world today, the sense of sovereignty and the sense of independence is very strong’ Pimentel told The Grayzone that Venezuela’s UN delegation was “ used to ” such behavior, “ because all year in different UN meetings, when Venezuela speaks, some of these countries led by the US, normally leave the room. ” “ This is not a problem — we didn’t want them to be there anyway, ” Pimentel added. “ The defeat was a huge, huge defeat. They couldn’t achieve what they wanted to do. ” The US decision not to challenge Venezuelan Vice President Delcy Rodríguez’s right to address the session meant Washington knew such a vote would only result in failure — once and for all exposing the international defeat of Trump’s coup attempt. “ Clearly they underestimated all the work that the diplomats of Venezuela have
