Ex-Icelandic Interior Minister: US Tried to frame Julian Assange in Iceland!

WikiLeaks / goingundergroundRT After WikiLeaks’ publication of Pentagon and State Department documents in 2010, the White House launched a multi-agency investigation into WikiLeaks and its publisher Julian Assange. The investigation includes the Department of Justice (DOJ), the FBI, the State Department, the CIA and the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) among others.  A number of senior political figures in the United States have called for the assassination, extraordinary rendition or kidnapping of Julian Assange and other WikiLeaks staff and for the execution of WikiLeaks US sources: www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZuQW0US2sJw The Grand Jury has coercively forced numerous people to give testimony in secret and to do so without the presence of a judge or defence lawyer. UK warmongering imperialists immediately attack Jeremy Corbyn for being the voice of reason against a possible war with Iran

UK ministers including the foreign secretary have been quick to ridicule Jeremy Corbyn’s call for caution over blaming Iran for two attacks on Gulf tankers last week. The problem is the EU supports the Labour leader’s stance. In the aftermath of Thursday’s attack, Corbyn took to social media to warn that the UK government’s rhetoric concerning the issue would “ only increase the threat of war. ” He suggested that they should be working to “ ease tensions in the Gulf ” and called for “ credible evidence ” to be put forward before entering into the blame game. A viewpoint that riled Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt, who branded the Labour leader “ pathetic and predictable, ” and asked why Corbyn can never back “ British allies ” [the US] or “ British intelligence. ” Home Secretary Sajid Javid also waded in on Twitter, claiming Corbyn was “ never on the side of the country he seeks to lead, ” preferring to side with those that ‘threaten Britain’s national security’. Pathetic a

Watch anti-Corbyn MP Margaret Hodge call ending austerity a ‘bribe’ for the electorate

Right-wing Labour MP Margaret Hodge has referred to ending austerity as a ‘bribe’. “Those sort of bribes…” Margaret Hodge says that tuition fees and reversing austerity are 'bribes' to the electorate. I'm certainly glad we're not going back to the Labour party of austerity and illegal war. pic.twitter.com/cbIXfTERfW — simulacra 🇻🇪🕊️ (@simulacrax) June 9, 2019 The MP for Barking, who has previously smeared her own party’s leader, said: " I want a Labour Party that brings honesty into our politics. What we’ve got, if we do have anything, is a whole range of unrealistic promises, whether it’s on reversing all the cuts of the last decade, whether it’s on promising we’ll do away with tuition fees. Those are promises that will not be fulfilled. That unrealism, those sort of bribes actually in my view, in an era of scepticism… is not the way to win election. " Hodge’s comments echo Conservative leadership contender Dominic Raab, who reduced su

It's definite: the neoliberal deep state in Brazil jailed political prisoner Lula da Silva to prevent the Workers' Party (PT) from winning the 2018 presidential election

globinfo freexchange We were right again. Already since October 2017, we identified Lava Jato operation as a key tool used by the neoliberal priesthood to crush the Brazilian Left.  As we wrote back then: It looks like the neoliberal regime continues to build a Matrix of virtual reality through carefully selected actions. As the neoliberal ideology collapses globally, exactly because of the skyrocketing corruption related to corporate lobbyists and politicians like Temer, the Left must be presented as much more corrupted by all means. Indeed, as the old-fashioned propaganda is not working anymore, the current establishment adopts a much more sophisticated version. Indeed, The Intercept Brasil published three explosive exposés showing highly controversial, politicized, and legally dubious internal discussions and secret actions by the Operation Car Wash (Lava Jato) anti-corruption task force of prosecutors, led by the chief prosecutor Deltan Dallagnol, along with then-J

Behind the Syrian Network for Human Rights: How an opposition front group became Western media’s go-to monitor

Top media outlets turn to the Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) for figures on deaths and detentions, never noting the group’s seamless connection to Syria’s opposition, the support it receives from states that waged war on the country, or its open lobbying for US military intervention. by Max Blumenthal Part 1 The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) portrays itself as a neutral “monitor” of Syria’s bloody war. In recent years, the group has become a go-to source for corporate media outlets.  Major US newspapers, human rights organizations, and even governments have credulously echoed SNHR’s dubious reports. But not once have these institutions questioned what exactly the organization is, who funds it, and what its relationship is to Syria’s armed opposition.  An investigation by The Grayzone reveals that the Syrian Network for Human Rights is far from the impartial arbiter that it has been sold as. In reality, it is a key player in the Syrian oppos

Why the US rushed to propagate the 'naval mine' scenario to explain recent attacks on two oil tankers in the Gulf of Oman

globinfo freexchange The incident of the recent attack against two oil tankers in the Gulf of Oman elevated the heat between the US and Iran. Naturally, the attack also produced some level of turmoil in the oil global market. Trump's hostile attitude against Iran was clearly evident even before his election. His totally unjustifiable and completely incomprehensible action to kill the Iran nuclear deal, destroyed any remnants of US reliability. Consequently, even the US Western allies refused to follow this evidently counterproductive strategy. Under these circumstances and given the endless history of US manufactured incidents used to justify the start of another war, most people rightfully thought that this has been just another false flag operation. And it makes sense actually. Why the hell Iran would attempt to blow up its relations with Japan in the midst of Japanese PM Shinzo Abe visit in the country? Only the US empire would have reasons to do it in order to force o

Microsoft’s ElectionGuard a Trojan Horse for a military-industrial takeover of US elections

“The fact that we are handing over the keys of American democracy to the military-industrial complex — it’s like giving the keys to the henhouse to a fox and saying, ‘here come in and take whatever you want.’ It’s obviously dangerous.” — Investigative journalist Yasha Levine by Whitney Webb  Part 5 - ElectionGuard isn’t immune to manipulation Microsoft’s press release announcing ElectionGuard highlights its claim that its system would make elections more verifiable, secure, and auditable; be open source-based; and improve the voting experience. While all of these things sound nice enough, there is reason to believe — based on the description given by Microsoft — that some of these claims are dubious and misleading. Unfortunately, for now, analysis of ElectionGuard is restricted to Microsoft’s description of the software as it is not yet available for public examination. The ElectionGuard software kit is expected to be released later this year on the GitHub platform.

Tide of public opinion is turning in Assange’s favor

Corporate media & some politicos who opposed Assange after the 2016 election have radically changed their tune, favorably influencing public opinion after the Espionage Act indictment of the WikiLeak‘s founder, reports Joe Lauria. by Joe Lauria The indictment of Julian Assange under the Espionage Act has profoundly affected press coverage of the WikiLeaks founder, with much of the media turning suddenly and decisively in his favor after  years of vilifying him. The sharp change has also come from some politicians, and significantly, from two Justice Department prosecutors who went public to express their dissent about using the Espionage Act to indict Assange. To the extent that public opinion matters, the sea-change in coverage could have an effect on the British or Swedish governments’ decision to extradite Assange to the United States to face the charges.  Part 6 - Unmasking Informants  Rusbridger said: “ We fell out, as most people eventually d
