As Bernie now looks unstoppable, liberal plutocrats and their DNC proxies are left with only one option: an unholy alliance with Trump
Bernie Sanders' landslide in Nevada leaves little doubt about who is the "real boss" in the Democratic primaries. After his crushing victory, the anti-Bernie hysteria on MSNBC and the liberal corporate media broke a new record.
The DNC establishment has thrown various actors in the race to stop Bernie's momentum and all have failed miserably. The CNN trick with the pseudo-progressive Elizabeth Warren, backfired badly. Then, the establishment used Pete Buttigieg to test the dynamics of the primaries in Iowa, measure the strength of the progressive movement in real conditions.
Among them, the establishment thought it would be a good idea to recruit a typical centrist of the Obama era, a political "dinosaur" like Joe Biden. His performance so far was a disaster, as it would be impossible for a classic representative of the neoliberal center to inspire voters, let alone beat Donald Trump.
Finally, we saw a plutocrat entering the race and trying to buy the primaries. Yet, Michael Bloomberg had a disastrous night in the debate before the battle in Nevada, demonstrating that "buying an election" would not be a successful operation under current circumstances.
The establishment realized, rather late, that Bernie's real power lies in that great movement behind him. That's why the corporate media revived the "BernieBro" myth and tried to build some "upgraded" anti-movement narratives around it. It seems that this strategy is failing too.
As we already mentioned, the establishment apparatus has come now to the point where it hesitates to try any new tricks against Bernie because it knows that may backfire further. All signs show that the DNC establishment looks ready to accept its defeat and Bernie with his progressive army are ready to take over the Democratic party, at least for now and until the presidential election in November. So, the big question remains: if Bernie survives the primaries, how will they try to stop him?
As we explained in a previous article, what we see now in the United States with Trump, is a counter-attack by the part of the American capital against the globalist faction. The faction that is primarily consisted by the liberal plutocracy. Therefore, as the capitalist class splits, the capitalists around Trump are now taking with them the most conservative part of the American society, as they need electoral power. They have the money and their own media network. Their first big victory was Trump in the US presidency and this explains why the liberal media attack him so hard and so frequently.
But now, the liberal plutocrats are in a very difficult position. As Bernie Sanders and the progressive movement are ready to take over the Democratic party, they are facing a political extinction. It seems that the only option for them at the moment, is to make an unholy alliance with their capitalist rivals and accept another Trump term. This will allow them to buy some time.
Both major capitalist factions identify now Bernie as the greatest threat. Four years of progressive policies may destroy many of the foundations of the neoliberal order that has been growing to secure the absolute domination of the capitalist elites since the early 70s. The capitalist factions will unite to stop Bernie at any cost.
Therefore, it is highly probable that the liberal plutocrats will gamble big by letting Bernie win the primaries (they can't do much to stop him anyway), and put all their energy to make him lose the presidential election. Another Trump victory will be promoted as Bernie's failure to beat the current US president and will be used to crush the progressive movement. The liberal media will build a huge propaganda campaign to brainwash the American public and try to restore the neoliberal order, claiming that Bernie's Leftist agenda is not popular. Recall that they already tried to invest on Jeremy Corbyn's heavy defeat and use it against Bernie Sanders.

After a second Trump term, the liberal plutocrats will sell themselves as the sole antidote to Trump's legacy. They are probably preparing ground to take over the Democratic party in 2024. We may consider Bloomberg's involvement in the primaries as a test on these plans.
As we already mentioned, the anti-globalist part of the big capital that supported Trump will
prefer this development instead of an uncontrollable progressive
movement that will hold political power. Then, plutocrats of all sides
will do what the big capital always does. They will clear up things between them. In one thing they are unquestionably united: crushing the resistance of the ordinary people from below.
However, things may not be that easy for the capitalist elites this time. The Democratic primaries process proved so far that the progressive movement is growing stronger, despite the dirty tricks and the smear campaigns against Bernie.
The progressive movement and the US working class start to realize their power. If the American people participate massively in the political process, joining the movement, the capitalist elites would be very difficult to even rig the election. With Bernie Sanders in power, the demolition of the neoliberal order will begin. And it will be elites' worst nightmare.
