Από τους 400 νεκρούς στη Λέσβο στους 5.000 της Λιβύης

Όλα τα παραπάνω ώθησαν τις ΜΚΟ να ναυλώσουν πλοία τα οποία έπλεαν 30 μίλια από τις ακτές της Λιβύης προκειμένου να διασώζουν μετανάστες οι οποίοι μετατρέπονταν σε πρόσφυγες με την είσοδό τους στη μαρτυρική Λιβύη.

Ο Ιάσων επιλέχθηκε από τη ΜΚΟ «SOS MEDITERRANE» ως έμπειρος διασώστης.

«Τη διάσωση την έμαθα από τους ψαράδες της Λέσβου. Συμμετείχα σε μια ομάδα που έσπευσε πρώτη εκεί πριν τις ΜΚΟ. Όταν είδαμε τα πρώτα ναυάγια συμφωνήσαμε να πάρουμε τη βάρκα μου και να ξεκινήσουμε διασώσεις ως ομάδα Διάσωσης Πλατάνου. Αυτή η γνώση μου ήταν πολύ χρήσιμη στη Λιβύη.» εξηγεί ο Ιάσων.

«Με το Aquarius ξεκινήσαμε Φλεβάρη του 2016. Διαπίστωσα ότι η μεγάλη διαφορά σε σχέση με Λέσβο ήταν ότι οι πρόσφυγες που φτάνουν στην Ιταλία μέσω Λιβύης, έχουν όλοι διασωθεί από ένα καράβι, είτε διασωστικό είτε φορτηγό. Είναι τεράστια η απόσταση, δεν είναι δυνατόν να φτάσεις ζωντανός με βάρκα 260 ναυτικά μίλια μακριά.

Πεθαίνουν όλοι, χάνονται στη θάλασσα.

Οι βάρκες σπάνε για πλάκα δεν έχουν σωσίβια οι άνθρωποι. Η μη διάσωσή τους δηλαδή, ισοδυναμεί με καταδίκη σε θάνατο. Τα καράβια επιχειρούν στα 30 μίλια από την ακτή γιατί δεν καταφέρνουν οι μετανάστες συχνά να φτάσουν καν σε εμάς. Βουλιάζουν στη μέση της διαδρομής.

Θυμάμαι πως χάσαμε δύο βάρκες δίπλα μας με 250 άτομα. Βούλιαξαν και όσο και να ψάχναμε δεν βρίσκαμε τα σώματά τους .

Οι άνθρωποι αυτοί δεν καταγράφονται ως νεκροί.

Οι αρχές καταγράφουν μόνο τα σώματα που βρίσκουν και είναι σχεδόν τριπλάσιος ο αριθμός των νεκρών από αυτόν που καταγράφεται.

Σκέψου ότι αν στο Αιγαίο καταγράφηκαν πάνω από 400 νεκροί για μία χρονιά εκεί είχαμε τουλάχιστον 5.000!

Μέχρι τον Ιούνιο που ξεκίνησε η χοντρή καταστολή υπήρχαν 5 καράβια διασωστικά. Κατά καιρούς είχαμε και 7 αλλά σταματούν λόγω κόστους. Χρειάζονται 11.000 ευρώ ημερησίως και συχνά δεν μπορούν να συλλεχτούν τα ποσά αυτά από δωρεές.

Τα τέσσερα από αυτά τα πλοία, τα έχουν κατασχέσει οι Λιβυκές αρχές. Το Aquarius γλίτωσε προσωρινά και πήγε στη Μασσαλία. Πριν δύο εβδομάδες όμως υπέστειλαν τη σημαία».

      Η απύθμενη άγνοια βγάζει μάτι. Δεν είναι παράξενο που κάτι κλόουν σαν τον Τραμπ και άλλοι ακροδεξιοί δημαγωγοί σας παίζουν στα δάχτυλα. Κάποτε θα καταλάβετε (αλλά θα ναι αργά πια) ότι είναι και αυτοί τα τσιράκια του συστήματος που σας πουλάνε μπόλικο πατριωτισμό για να το κρατήσουν κυρίαρχο. Και την ώρα που αυτό το σύστημα σας πηδάει χωρίς σάλιο, κατευθύνει την οργή σας εναντίον ανυπεράσπιστων ανθρώπων για να συνεχίσει να σας πηδάει. Εσείς λοιπόν "πέρα βρέχει".

On November, 23, WikiLeaks published an e-mail, sent by a member of an OPCW fact-finding mission to Syria to his superiors, in which he expresses his gravest concern over intentional bias introduced to a redacted version of the report he co-authored.

In his speeches, Bernie Sanders frequently refers to the 32nd president of the United States, Franklin D. Roosevelt (FDR), and his New Deal program that helped millions of Americans after the 1929 Wall Street crash. Sanders and other progressives are proposing a similar program adjusted to the modern environmental challenges. The Green New Deal has now become a popular vision, especially among young Americans. Around it, the progressives are aiming to build a whole new model beyond destructive neoliberalism and even obsolete capitalism.

Many would argue that this is quite an extremely optimistic view. That Sanders is just an old-school moderate Social-Democrat who will only manage to revive some typical social policies of the past, and that's it.
