Πώς να διαβάζετε τις «ειδήσεις» ελληνικών ΜΜΕ για τη Βενεζουέλα

Όργιο παραπληροφόρησης αποτελεί η κάλυψη των εκλογών για τη Συντακτική Συνέλευση της Βενεζουέλας από τα ελληνικά ΜΜΕ.

Επιλέξαμε ένα από τα κείμενα γνώμης που παρουσιάζονται σαν ρεπορτάζ από το Protagon και εξετάζουμε τις πληροφορίες που παρουσίασε και αυτές που παρέλειψε.

Το κείμενο ξεκινά με τη φράση «Ένα ματωμένο βήμα προς τη δικτατορία». Σε ποιόν ανήκει η φράση και γιατί είναι σε εισαγωγικά; Αν δεν αποτελεί απόδοση σε τρίτο πρόσωπο σημαίνει ότι ο συντάκτης αμφισβητεί το περιεχόμενό της;

Το κείμενο συνεχίζει λέγοντας ότι οι εκλογές διεξήχθησαν «για την ανάδειξη της τουλάχιστον αμφιλεγόμενης νέας Συντακτικής Συνέλευσης που ζήτησε ο πρόεδρος Νίκολας Μαδούρο προκειμένου να συγκεντρώσει υπερεξουσίες, ξαναγράφοντας όπως θέλει το Σύνταγμα». Αποκρύπτεται, δηλαδή, ότι στη συντακτική συνέλευση κλήθηκε να συμμετέχει η αντιπολίτευση, η οποία θα μπορούσε να καθορίσει αυτή το σύνταγμα, αλλά προτίμησε να μποϊκοτάρει την εκλογική διαδικασία.

Στο Protagon διαβάζουμε επίσης ότι «σύμφωνα με τα στοιχεία που δημοσιοποίησε η εκλογική επιτροπή, η συμμετοχή έφτασε στο 41,5%, αν και η αντιπολίτευση είχε κάνει λόγο για συμμετοχή της τάξεως του 12,5%. Υπό αυτές τις συνθήκες είναι εξαιρετικά αμφίβολο αν κάποιος -εκτός από τον Μαδούρο φυσικά που υποσχέθηκε «μια νέα εποχή μάχης»- θα αποδεχτεί το αποτέλεσμα της ψηφοφορίας». Πολύ ενδιαφέρουσα παρατήρηση αν σκεφτεί κανείς ότι στη Γαλλία στο δεύτερο γύρο των βουλευτικών εκλογών του 2017 η αποχή έφτασε το 57.36%, στο συνταγματικό δημοψήφισμα του 2000 άγγιξε το 69.8% και στις ευρωεκλογές του 2009 το 59.37%. Οι Γάλλοι δηλαδή άλλαξαν ακόμη και το σύνταγμα της χώρας με προσέλευση ψηφοφόρων στο 30.2%, αλλά στη Βενεζουέλα πρέπει να αγνοήσουμε την ψήφο 8 εκατομμυρίων πολιτών που προσήλθαν στις κάλπες παρά τις απειλές και τις επιθέσεις της αντιπολίτευσης.

Στο κείμενο του Protagon ακολουθεί φωτογραφία του «ηγέτη» της αντιπολίτευσης Ενρίκε Καπρίλες, ο οποίος είχε κατηγορηθεί για συμμετοχή στο αποτυχημένο πραξικόπημα εναντίον του Τσάβες το 2002 αλλά και για υποθέσεις διαφθοράς. Το κόμμα του Καπρίλες, ο οποίος είχε ζητήσει την παρέμβαση του στρατού για την ανατροπή της εκλεγμένης κυβέρνησης, χρηματοδοτούνταν από αμερικανικά ιδρύματα όπως το National Endowment for Democracy (NED). Υπερβολές θα πει κάποιος. Και το Protagon ζητούσε να αναλάβει ο στρατός τη διακυβέρνηση της Ελλάδας, αλλά στη συνέχεια απλώς απομάκρυνε το κείμενο από το site και… όλα καλά.

Στη συνέχεια διαβάζουμε ότι «Μεταξύ των νεκρών συγκαταλέγονται δύο έφηβοι καθώς και ένα υποψήφιο μέλος της Συνέλευσης που σκοτώθηκαν κατά τη διάρκεια μιας ληστείας.» Αν σκοτώθηκαν κατά τη διάρκεια ληστείας γιατί συμπεριλαμβάνονται στη λίστα των θυμάτων από τα επεισόδια των εκλογών; Γιατί δεν προσθέτουμε και τους νεκρούς από τροχαία δυστυχήματα; Η αλήθεια βέβαια είναι λίγο διαφορετική. Ο Jose Felix Pineda που συμμετείχε ως υποψήφιος στις εκλογές εκτελέστηκε εν ψυχρώ μέσα στο σπίτι του. Αρκετά μέσα ενημέρωσης απέφευγαν να δηλώνουν την πολιτική ταυτότητα του θύματος ενώ η εφημερίδα METRO των παρουσίασε αρχικά σαν υποψήφιο της αντιπολίτευσης – παρά το γεγονός ότι ο ίδιος κυκλοφορούσε συχνά με σημαίες και μπλουζάκια του Τσάβες. Από πουθενά όμως δεν προκύπτει μέχρι στιγμής ότι έπεσε θύμα ληστείας (που θυμίζει το ανέκδοτο ότι ο Λαμπράκης έπεσε θύμα τροχαίου).

Για την ιστορία, στα επεισόδια δολοφονήθηκε επίσης ένας αστυνομικός με μια σφαίρα στο κεφάλι και δεκάδες άλλοι τραυματίστηκαν από πυρά διαδηλωτών και βομβιστικές επιθέσεις. Ενώ όμως το Protagon παρουσιάζει φωτογραφία από τη βομβιστική επίθεση εναντίον αστυνομικών, στη λεζάντα γράφει «Φωτιές στις μάχες διαδηλωτών με τις δυνάμεις καταστολής στο Καράκας». Για αυτό τον λόγο προφανώς δεν δείχνουν και το πολύ πιο εντυπωσιακό βίντεο από τη στιγμή της έκρηξης του μηχανισμού, που σημειώθηκε στην περιοχή Αλταμίρα – ένα από τα ακριβότερα προάστια του Καράκας και προπύργιο των διαδηλωτών της αντιπολίτευσης. Ας φανταστούμε έναν Έλληνα αστυνομικό νεκρό με μια σφαίρα στο κεφάλι, αρκετούς άλλους τραυματισμένους από αληθινά πυρά των διαδηλωτών και έναν εκρηκτικό μηχανισμό εναντίον μοτοσικλετιστών της αστυνομίας. Πιστεύει κανείς ότι τα ελληνικά ΜΜΕ θα «ξεχνούσαν» να αναφέρουν τα συγκεκριμένα περιστατικά;

Το υπόλοιπο κείμενο δεν υπάρχει λόγος να το σχολιάσουμε. Αποτελεί ανακοίνωση του Στέιτ Ντιπάρτμεντ. Το ένα τρίτο του συνολικού κειμένου δηλαδή απλώς εκφράζει τις διπλωματικές θέσεις μιας χώρας που χρηματοδοτεί την αντιπολίτευση και έχει κατηγορηθεί για συμμετοχή στην προσπάθεια πραξικοπηματικής ανατροπής της κυβέρνησης της Βενεζουέλας.
