Η πρώτη (ίσως και η τελευταία) θετική ενέργεια από τον Τραμπ!

Ίσως ανακόψει σημαντικά την παγκόσμια νεοφιλελεύθερη επέλαση


Παρά τα πρώτα απογοητευτικά σημάδια από την κυβέρνηση Τραμπ, με τον διορισμό μιας στρατιάς πλουτοκρατών και πρώην τσακαλιών της Goldman Sachs, ο νέος Αμερικανός πρόεδρος προχώρησε και σε μια θετική κίνηση. Πρόκειται για την υπογραφή υπέρ της αποχώρησης των ΗΠΑ από τη συμφωνία ελεύθερου εμπορίου μεταξύ των χωρών του ειρηνικού (TPP).

Ο νέος πρόεδρος των ΗΠΑ Ντόναλντ Τραμπ υπέγραψε το διάταγμα για την απόσυρση των ΗΠΑ από τη συμφωνία ελεύθερου εμπορίου μεταξύ των χωρών του ειρηνικού (TPP). Πρόκειται για μια συμφωνία αντίστοιχη με την TTIP, τη συμφωνία ελεύθερου εμπορίου μεταξύ ΕΕ και ΗΠΑ, που έχει προκαλέσει μεγάλες αντιδράσεις και στις δύο πλευρές του ατλαντικού.

Με το εν λόγω διάταγμα μπαίνει τέλος στη συμμετοχή της Αμερικής στην συμφωνία, την οποία είχε διαπραγματευτεί επί σειρά ετών η κυβέρνηση του Μπαράκ Ομπάμα και κατά πολλούς θεωρείτο το αντίβαρο στην αυξανόμενη επιρροή της Κίνας. Ο Τραμπ προεκλογικά την είχε κάνει λόγο για μια συμφωνία που παραβιάζει τα συμφέροντα των Αμερικανών εργαζομένων και είχε υποσχεθεί την κατάργησή της.

Η συμφωνία, που είχε προωθηθεί από την Ουάσινγκτον με στόχο να διαμορφώσει τους κανόνες του διεθνούς εμπορίου στον 21ο αιώνα, υπογράφτηκε το 2015, αλλά δεν έχει ακόμη τεθεί σε ισχύ.

Στην αμφιλεγόμενη συμφωνία συμμετείχαν 12 χώρες (Αυστραλία, Μπρουνέι, Καναδάς, Χιλή, Ιαπωνία, Μαλαισία, Μεξικό, Νέα Ζηλανδία, Περού, Σιγκαπούρη, Ηνωμένες Πολιτείες και Βιετνάμ), οι οποίες αντιπροσωπεύουν το 40% της παγκόσμιας οικονομίας.

Σχολιάζοντας την προαναγγελία του Τραμπ για την απόσυρση των ΗΠΑ από την TPP, ο Ιάπωνας πρωθυπουργός Σίνζο Άμπε, ένας από τους πιο ένθερμους υποστηρικτές της συμφωνίας ελεύθερου εμπορίου, είχε επισημάνει πως η TPP χωρίς τις ΗΠΑ «δεν έχει νόημα».

Η TPP ανήκει στην ομάδα των διεθνών εμπορικών συμφωνιών (TTIP, CETA, TiSA and TPP) που σφραγίζουν την οριστική κυριαρχία των πολυεθνικών και τραπεζικών τεράτων πάνω στα κράτη.

Κατά τις τελευταίες δεκαετίες και στις δύο πλευρές του Ατλαντικού, έχουμε δει μια τεράστια μετατόπιση ισχύος από το δημόσιο συμφέρον προς τα ιδιωτικά συμφέροντα. Μία πίεση για οικονομική φιλελευθεροποίηση, αυξανόμενη ανισότητα, φτώχεια και περιβαλλοντική υποβάθμιση. Οι συμφωνίες αυτές είναι μια προσπάθεια των λόμπι να καταστήσουν αυτή την πραγματικότητα μη αναστρέψιμη.

Καθώς οι διαπραγματεύσεις για τις συμφωνίες αυτές γίνονται υπό πλήρη μυστικότητα, ορισμένες διαρροές εγγράφων έχουν δείξει ότι αυτές απειλούν τη δημοκρατία, τις δημόσιες παροχές, τα κοινωνικά και περιβαλλοντικά στάνταρ, ενώ βάζουν σε μεγαλύτερο κίνδυνο τις μικρές αγροτικές καλλιέργειες, τα διατροφικά και περιβαλλοντικά στάνταρ και γενικά τη δυνατότητα των ανθρώπων να αλλάξουν τις κοινωνίες προς το καλύτερο.

Οι επωφελούμενοι των συμφωνιών αυτών είναι οι μεγάλες εταιρίες που τις σχεδίασαν, όχι οι πολίτες. Είναι πολύ απογοητευτικό το γεγονός ότι οι κυβερνήσεις έχουν αγνοήσει τελείως τις μαζικές διαδηλώσεις στην Ευρώπη και αλλού ενάντια σ'αυτές τις συμφωνίες και συνέχισαν τις 'διαπραγματεύσεις' με τα λόμπι, όπως ήταν προγραμματισμένο να γίνει.

Είναι επίσης πιθανό ότι έχουμε να κάνουμε με ένα εσωτερικό πόλεμο εντός και εκτός των ΗΠΑ μεταξύ του μεγάλου κεφαλαίου με αφορμή αυτές τις συμφωνίες και ο Τραμπ απλώς χρησιμοποιείται σε αυτό τον πόλεμο.

Εξίσου απογοητευτικό είναι το γεγονός ότι ένα πιθανό πλήγμα κατά της TPP (και ελπίζουμε και κατά των άλλων συμφωνιών), δεν θα έρθει από τη δύναμη των πολιτών, των οποίων η φωνή έχει αγνοηθεί τελείως από το διεφθαρμένο πολιτικό κατεστημένο. Θα έρθει από τον πόλεμο ανάμεσα στο μεγάλο κεφάλαιο. Και έπρεπε να περιμένουμε κάποιον σαν τον Ντόναλντ Τραμπ προκειμένου να κάνει την πρώτη σημαντική κίνηση κατά αυτών των συμφωνιών. Είναι μια απογοητευτική διαπίστωση που δείχνει το βαθμό παρακμής των δημοκρατικών αξιών.

Παρόλα αυτά, οι αντι-νεοφιλελεύθερες δυνάμεις της Αριστεράς θα πρέπει να αρπάξουν την ευκαιρία και να εκμεταλλευτούν τέτοιες ενέργειες σαν αυτή του Τραμπ, ώστε να επιτύχουν περισσότερες νίκες κατά των συμφωνιών αυτών μέχρι την τελική τους διάλυση.

On mid-July we wrote that an increased number of people who run independent YouTube channels reported that are being demonetized. Also, they see the number of viewings and subscribers being reduced significantly.

We observed that while the blog subscribed to various independent YouTube channels, when we go to the first page and search specific terms like "Syria", "Venezuela", "Bernie Sanders", "Tulsi Gabbard", etc., the first results give numerous videos from Western mainstream media like MSNBC, FOX News, CNN, BBC, etc. We can hardly find a video from our subscriptions, way below those results.
