Σεισμός στην Ευρώπη και τον κόσμο από την νίκη του Brexit

Η ΑΡΙΣΤΕΡΑ ΟΦΕΙΛΕΙ ΝΑ ΥΨΩΣΕΙ ΤΟΛΜΗΡΑ ΤΗ ΣΗΜΑΙΑ ΤΟΥ... LEXIT, ΤΗΣ ΑΝΑΤΡΟΠΗΣ ΤΗΣ Ε.Ε. ΑΠΟ ΑΡΙΣΤΕΡΕΣ ΘΕΣΕΙΣ

Πολιτικό σεισμό και οικονομικό τσουνάμι πλανητικών διαστάσεων προκάλεσε η επιλογή του βρετανικού λαού υπέρ της αποδέσμευσης από την Ε.Ε. Σύμφωνα με τα τελικά αποτελέσματα, που διέψευσαν για μία ακόμη φορά τις δημοσκοπήσεις, το Brexit επικράτησε με 51,9% έναντι 48,1%. Η προσέλευση στις κάλπες έφτασε το 72,1%, ποσοστό ρεκόρ για τα δεδομένα των τελευταίων 24 χρόνων.

Πρώτο θύμα του δημοψηφίσματος υπήρξε ο Συντηρητικός πρωθυπουργός Ντέιβιντ Κάμερον, ο οποίος παραιτήθηκε υπό το βάρος της αποτυχίας του (το 58% των ψηφοφόρων του κόμματός του τοποθετήθηκε υπέρ του Brexit). Υπό πίεση βρίσκεται και ο ηγέτης των Εργατικών, Τζέρεμι Κόρμπιν, ο οποίος, αν και είχε τοποθετηθεί εναντίον της ένταξης της Βρετανίας στην Ε.Ε. από τα αριστερά, τη δεκαετία του 1970, υποχρεώθηκε από το κατεστημένο του κόμματός του και της χώρας του να κάνει καμπάνια, με κρύα καρδιά, υπέρ του Remain.

Παρότι στα μέσα ενημέρωσης του κατεστημένου το δημοψήφισμα εμφανίστηκε ως “εμφύλιος πόλεμος” στο εσωτερικό της Δεξιάς και της βρετανικής ολιγαρχίας, παραμένει γεγονός ότι η μεγάλη πλειοψηφία των εργατικών στρωμάτων τάχθηκε υπέρ του Brexit.

Το βρετανικό δημοψήφισμα σηματοδοτεί το τέλος της Ε.Ε. όπως την ξέραμε μέχρι χθες. Αποδεικνύεται με τον πιο κατηγορηματικό τρόπο ότι η ευρωπαϊκή ενοποίηση δεν είναι μια αντικειμενική “νομοτέλεια”, στην οποία οφείλει να προσαρμοστεί κανείς, αλλά ένα ταξικό, ιμπεριαλιστικό σχέδιο που μπορεί να ανατραπεί από τους λαούς που την υφίστανται. Για πρώτη φορά από την εμφάνιση της ΕΟΚ και, στη συνέχεια, της Ε.Ε. μια χώρα- μέλος αποφασίζει να αποχωρήσει, ανοίγοντας το δρόμο για να σπάσουν, στην πορεία, και άλλοι αδύναμοι κρίκοι της αλυσίδας. Η Ε.Ε. θα χάσει μια μεγάλη χώρα, που εκπροσωπεί τη δεύτερη οικονομία της, μετά τη γερμανική, μια πυρηνική δύναμη, μόνιμο μέλος του Συμβουλίου Ασφαλείας του ΟΗΕ. Ακόμη κι αν επιβιώσει της θύελλας που θα ακολουθήσει, θα πρόκειται για μια ακρωτηριασμένη, αποδυναμωμένη και εγγενώς ασταθή Ένωση, σε διαρκή κρίση και αμφισβήτηση.

Η νίκη του Brexit προκαλεί ήδη τεράστια αναταραχή στις ευρωπαϊκές και διεθνείς αγορές. Την ώρα που γράφονταν αυτές οι γραμμές, η βρετανική λίρα είχε πέσει κατά 11%, στο χαμηλότερο επίπεδο του 1985, ενώ ο βρετανικός, χρηματιστηριακός δείκτης FTSE σημείωνε πτώση 7,6%. Ανάλογη ήταν, όμως, η κατάσταση στην ηπειρωτική Ευρώπη, καθώς ο γερμανικός DAX έκανε βουτιά 9,5%, ενώ ο γαλλικός CAC έπεφτε 7%. Οι τραπεζικοί κολοσσοί ήταν εκείνοι που δέχονταν τις πιο τρομερές πιέσεις. Αν και πρόκειται για τις πρώτες αντιδράσεις, διαγράφεται ο κίνδυνος να αποτελέσει το Brexit τον καταλύτη για μια νέα υποτροπή της κρίσης μιας παγκόσμιας οικονομίας που, ούτως ή άλλως, βρισκόταν σε ασταθή κατάσταση. Σ'αυτό το φόντο, το ενδεχόμενο μιας βαθύτατης κρίσης της ευρωζώνης και της επαναφοράς του Grexit στην ημερήσια διάταξη, ανεξάρτητα από την ευρωδουλεία των ελληνικών ελίτ, δεν μπορεί να αποκλειστεί.

Η επικράτηση του Brexit στο δημοψήφισμα δεν σημαίνει ότι η βούληση του βρετανικού λαού θα υλοποιηθεί εύκολα ή γρήγορα. Βεβαίως η Βρετανία δεν είναι Ελλάδα και ο Μπόρις Τζόνσον (και όσοι τον στηρίζουν) δεν είναι Αλέξης Τσίπρας. Ωστόσο, το άρθρο 50 της ευρωπαϊκής συνθήκης που καθορίζει τα της αποχώρησης προβλέπει μια διαδικασία διαπραγματεύσεων με ορίζοντα τουλάχιστον δύο χρόνων, στη διάρκεια των οποίων τα πάντα μπορεί να συμβούν. Ήδη, η τιμωρητική αντίδραση των αγορών και οι απειλές για ακρωτηριασμό της Μεγάλης Βρετανίας σε “Μικρά Αγγλία”, με αποχώρηση της Βρετανίας και ένωση της Βόρειας με την ανεξάρτητη Ιρλανδία βρίσκονται στην ημερήσια διάταξη.

Σε κάθε περίπτωση, η νίκη του Brexit έρχεται να ρίξει το τεράστιο βάρος της στην πλευρά των συσσωρευμένων ενδείξεων που διαμηνύουν ότι τα λαϊκά στρώματα, σε πανηπειρωτική κλίμακα, αποστρέφονται ολοένα και περισσότερο την αντιλαϊκή, απολυταρχική Ε.Ε. των πολυεθνικών και του ιμπεριαλισμού. Επιπλέον, το αποτέλεσμα του βρετανικού δημοψηφίσματος καταδεικνύει την ισχυρή βούληση των λαών για αποκατάσταση της εθνικής, λαϊκής κυριαρχίας, απέναντι σε μια ολοένα και πιο γερμανική Ευρώπη. Με τη δρομολογημένη αποχώρηση της Βρετανίας, το ειδικό βάρος της ηγεμονικής Γερμανίας στους κόλπους της Ε.Ε. εξ αντικειμένου θα αυξηθεί, κάτι που θα ενισχύσει ακόμη περισσότερο τις αντι- Ε.Ε. τάσεις.

Σ' αυτό το φόντο, η ριζοσπαστική Αριστερά σε όλες τις ευρωπαϊκές χώρες οφείλει να υψώσει τολμηρά τη σημαία του... Lexit, της εξόδου από την ευρωζώνη και την Ε.Ε. από τα αριστερά, από φιλολαϊκές, δημοκρατικές θέσεις. Σε αντίθετη περίπτωση, αν δηλαδή αφεθεί στην ουρά των απεχθών, για τα λαϊκά στρώματα, κοσμοπολίτικων ελίτ και κλαυθμηρίζει μαζί τους για την “ανωριμότητα” του βρετανικού λαού ή τηρήσει στάση αμήχανης ουδετερότητας, θα εκμηδενιστεί πολιτικά, παραδίδοντας αμαχητί τα εργατικά και λαϊκά στρώματα στη δημαγωγία της ξενοφοβικής, εθνικιστικής Ακροδεξιάς, τύπου Λεπέν.

Ελπίζουμε ότι το βρετανικό δημοψήφισμα θα αποτελέσει καταλύτη για θετικές διεργασίες στους κόλπους της ευρωπαϊκής, ριζοσπαστικής Αριστεράς. Ήδη, ο ηγέτης του γαλλικού Αριστερού Κόμματος, Ζαν- Λικ Μελανσόν δήλωσε ότι “το Brexit δίνει μάθημα σε όλη την Ευρώπη”, ότι “είναι η ώρα για ένα Σχέδιο Β” στη Γαλλία και την Ευρώπη και ότι “οι Γάλλοι θα ψήφιζαν υπέρ της εξόδου σε ανάλογο δημοψήφισμα”. Ειδικά για την Ελλάδα, η επικράτηση του Brexit, ένα χρόνο μετά τη νικηφόρα, αλλά προδομένη μάχη του ελληνικού δημοψηφίσματος, προσφέρει σημεία στήριξης στον αγώνα όλων των ανυπότακτων, αριστερών δυνάμεων που αγωνίζονται για την έξοδο από την ευρωμνημονιακή βαρβαρότητα και την ευρωζώνη, που τη θωρακίζει.

'How dare you!': Greta Thunberg rages at 'fairytales of eternal economic growth' at UN climate summit

In a speech to the United Nations Climate Action Summit Monday, Swedish youth climate activist Greta Thunberg lit into world leaders for their "empty words" around solving the climate crisis and said decades of inaction have left her generation without a future.

EVERYONE is on the list: Snowden says no ‘innocents’ in mass surveillance world

Asked if buying his memoir would get one on a spy list, NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden chillingly replied that everyone in the world is on the “list” and there are no innocents in the age of mass surveillance.

Responding to a reader who joked that buying Snowden’s book ‘Permanent Record’ might have put him on a list of people to be spied on, the exiled former intelligence contractor said in all seriousness that everyone is being spied on regardless.

“Systems of mass surveillance strive to record all people, in all places, at all times. The question is no longer ‘Am I on the list?’ it is ‘What's my rank on the list?’,” Snowden tweeted on Wednesday.
The former NSA and CIA contractor became a household name in 2013, when he revealed the extent of surveillance by the ‘Five Eyes’ network of US and its allies. He fled to Hong Kong ahead of being charged with espionage and eventually found asylum in Russia.
