A German
intelligence informant hired two members of a neo-Nazi group,
according to two separate media reports published Thursday.
Ralf Marschner, who supplied tips on far-right groups to the domestic intelligence agency BfV — the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution — knowingly hired members of the National Socialist Underground.
The NSU gained national notoriety for killing eight Germans of Turkish descent, one of Greek descent and a policeman between 2000 and 2007. Several secret services have supervised the various murder cases, but no members of the NSU were caught until two died in a robbery botch-up.
