The
organization “Popular Fighters Group” took responsibility for the
attack against the residence of the German ambassador in
Chalandri-Athens on 30 December 2013. The group claims through a
20-page manifesto that it is also responsible for an attack against
the German company Mercedes-Benz headquarters in Varibobi-Attica.
Nothing has been discovered so far in the area.
It is worth
to remember that the same group took responsibility for the assault
with Kalashnikov automatic rifle against central headquarters of “Nea
Dimokratia”, the right-wing party leading government coalition in
Greece. The assault took place in January 2013 and the
statement-manifesto for the responsibility came up with over a
five-month delay!
It is also
worth to note that the new manifesto of the group comes less than a
month from the escape of Christodoulos Xiros, former member of the
armed guerilla group November 17th, who has recently become a "most
wanted" for the Greek police since he never returned to prison
after the end of his permission.

Update:
A crater was found by the police
that is considered to be created from the attack against the
Mercedes-Benz headquarters in Varibobi. According to some information
remnants of the rocket have also been found. The crater is located in
a house's backyard while the police estimates that the rocket
launched from very long distance.
In this latest manifesto through
which the “Popular Fighters Group” took the responsibility for
the attack against German ambassador's residence, it is also stated
that the group devotes the attack to Dimitris Christoulas who
committed suicide at the Syntagma Square in April 2012, as well as
that the euro currency is the "tool of control" and the
"Trojan Horse" of the German imperialism in Europe.
